Nap TIme

Both of my children are napping at the same time now... YAY!!! It is actually quiet in my home right now, I can hardly believe it. Our little family is doing quite well right now. David is not in the hospital and we were able to attend church as a whole family for the the first time since David was born. It was so nice to be all together.

Evelyn just turned one in January. She was born three months premature and spent 12 long weeks in the Newborn ICU. Thankfully she is growing and developing well, so far there are no long term effects from her premature birth. She is a little behind but catching up quickly. Evelyn loves to play with her cousins Hunter and Hayden. She is learning how to crawl, she kind of does the worm crawl by pulling her feet under her and sticking her but up in the air and then pushing herself forward. It's very funny to watch. Evelyn loves to mimic smiles and laughter. If we laugh at her for doing something silly she starts laughing too, like she knows what is so funny!

David was born March 3, 2009. He arrived 3 months before his due date weighing 2 lbs. 2 oz. and 13 in. long and has undergone 4 major abdominal surgeries. After spending 4 months in the Newborn Intinsive Care Unit he finally came home, but only after two short wonderful days of having the whole family together he developed a serious infection and was readmitted to Primary Children's Infant Unit where he has been for the last month.

In spite of everything that this poor little boy has been through he is a very happy 5 month old. David loves his binky and his mobile but I think his favorite thing to do is sit with his mommy and make faces at her. (I know it's one of my favorite things to do.)
