Nap TIme

Both of my children are napping at the same time now... YAY!!! It is actually quiet in my home right now, I can hardly believe it. Our little family is doing quite well right now. David is not in the hospital and we were able to attend church as a whole family for the the first time since David was born. It was so nice to be all together.

David is finally home... again.

David came home on wednesday and I've been learning how to care for him and how to keep Evelyn from being more "help" than I need. She loves her baby brother and loves to help Mommy to take care of him. Yesterday I left the kids together in the living room, David on the couch and Evie was on the floor playing, I went to fix one of his medications and I couldn't have been gone for more than a minute. When I walked through the doorway I saw that Evie had climbed up on the couch and was laying on top of David shoving a binky in his mouth. I couldn't help but laugh as I rushed over to rescue David.

I love that she loves her little brother and likes to help me take care of him but I have learned that I cannot leave her alone with him no matter how short of time it is.

Cleaning my house

Life sure has been pretty crazy the last few months but hopefully things will settle down soon. David should be coming home from the hospital tomorrow and we are so excited to have our family all under one roof.

I've been going crazy trying to get the house clean and ready for him but I've discovered as most mothers have that having a clean house is a never ending job, as soon as I get the dishes all done there always seems to be a new pile waiting to be washed the same holds true for laundry. You might think I'm crazy but I'm glad that I enjoy cleaning. The hard part for me is keeping Evie out of trouble while I'm trying to do it. On the weekends it's a lost cause, I absolutely cannot clean when Michael is home, I'm not sure why but it just never happens so Monday's are my biggest cleaning days.

Well it looks like what we have been expecting has happened a bit sooner than we had hoped. I was "admitted to the hospital for pregnancy complications with an anticipated prolonged stay and premature delivery of infant." So my doctor puts it. I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and the hospital staff are going to do all in their power to keep this little guy inside me for as long as possible.

I realize it's not ideal to spend weeks or possibly months in the hospital but if it means having a healthier baby and not having him in the NICU for months I would stay in the hospital for a year if I had to. I don't want to see another one of my children have to go through that again, and the odds that everything will go as smoothly as they did with Evelyn are pretty slim.

I feel so grateful for all of the support that my Family and friends have given me and all of the sacrifices that so many people have made to help me. It's very dificult for me to feel as helpless and so dependant on others. I appreciate all of the prayers and love that I have recieved during this time in my life. Thanks to everyone.

I was put on bed rest last Tuesday and have been going crazy trying to find something to do. My Sister-in-Law Kilee Taylor keeps a blog and I thought that this might help me to stay sane, so I hope you don't mind Ki, but I kind of used your blog as a template for mine.
